The Chengdu Panda Base, located 18 km north of the city center, is the perfect place to observe pandas. Home to nearly 120 giant pandas and 76 red pandas, the base features a professional team dedicated to their care. In addition to live pandas, there are museums that introduce panda conservation and breeding. March to May is the breeding season, while summer and autumn are ideal for seeing newborn pandas, making it an ideal spot to learn about panda ecology.
