Intro
Dali is the main settlement area for the Bai ethnic group, where Bai culture has been well preserved and developed. Dali is backed by Cangshan Mountain and faces Erhai Lake. Cangshan Mountain is majestic, with its highest peak reaching 4,122 meters. At the foot of the mountain, many Bai villages retain traditional Bai architecture and lifestyle. Erhai Lake is the second largest freshwater lake in Yunnan, known for its clear water and scenic surroundings, making it a must-visit destination for tourists. Along the lakeshore, Dali Ancient City and Xizhou Ancient Town preserve many architectural and cultural relics from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
